SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
Minutes of the Special Meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Stanford, held at the Stanford
Village Hall at 7:08pm.
The Meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm by President Pro- Tem Geurts.
1. ROLL CALL: Present: 5 - Trustees Johnalee Awles, Ben Chase, Natasha Owen, Nydra Owen, Rowana Robles
and President George F. Brawner, Sr.
2. NEW BUSINESS:
A. Trustee Natasha Owen moved, seconded by Trustee Chase, to approve Resolution 03-10: A Corporate Banking
Resolution of the Village of Stanford for Tremont Savings Bank authorizing the signature of President Brawner and Trustee
Nydra Owen to sign checks and to remove Trustee Eric Geurts from all accounts.
On roll call the vote was:
AYES: 5 - Trustees Alwes, Chase, Natasha Owen, Nydra Owen and Robles.
NAYS: 0
ABSENT: 1 - Trustee Geurts.
There being 5 affirmative votes, the motion carried.
B. Trustee Nydra Owen moved, seconded by Trustee Natasha Owen, to approve Resolution 04-10: A Corporate Banking Resolution
of the Village of Stanford for Illinois Funds authorizing the signature of President Brawner and Trustee Nydra Owen to sign
checks and wire transfers.
On roll call the vote was:
AYES: 5 - Trustee Alwes, Chase, Natasha Owen, Nydra Owen and Robles.
NAYS: 0
ABSENT: 1 - Trustee Geurts.
There being 5 affirmative votes, the motion carried.
C. Trustee Natasha Owen advised the board that she signed off on a bill from the Pantagraph for publication of the
help wanted ad to run this Friday - Sunday. The amount was $346.28 which was over the $200.00 approved by the Board for publication
at the January 21, 2010 meeting. Trustee Natasha Owen was able to do so since the Municipal Code states a department chair
can spend up to $500.00 without Board approval.
D. Trustee Natasha Owen advised the Board that Officer Tom Sanders has turned in his resignation from the Stanford
Police Department effective February 8, 2010. Officer Sanders would like to purchase his uniforms without the patches.
It was the consensus of the Board to have Treasurer Jassman give Trustee Natasha Owen the information on how much was spent
on Sander’s uniforms.

E. After waiting for Marty Vanags with the Economic Council to arrive, Trustee Alwes called home to see if there
were any emails from him. One had been sent stating Marty Vanags was double booked for the evening and would not be attending
tonight’s meeting.
3. MOTION TO ADJOURN @ 7:32PM
There was no further business to come before the Board. Trustee Geurts moved, seconded by Trustee Natasha
Owen to adjourn. Motion carried.
